CompuGirls is led by Mentor Teachers and Management Interns who are highly trained in Culturally Responsive Computing and The CompuGirls Approach. They are carefully selected to provide participants with mentoring and instruction in research as well as guidance on how to use technology in empowering ways. They commit to a minimum of 20 hours of training, fingerprinting, and performance evaluations prior to interacting with participating girls. CompuGirls has been lucky to employ individuals from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds who also embody diversity in gender, ethnicity and race.
