Industry Mentor Questionnaire

Want to be an Industry Mentor?

The Center for Gender Equity in Science and Technology is always looking to recruit industry mentors for the CompuPower program. CompuPower is a culturally responsive Technology & Leadership high school elective course that aims to do two things - expose underrepresented students to a wide-variety of technologies and career fields while also building upon their leadership skills to bring about positive changes within their communities. We are looking for Industry Mentors to support our CompuPower students for the 2020-21 school year! No prior experience working with high school students is needed, training will be provided along with lessons to take into the classroom. We believe it is absolutely vital for students to work alongside leaders in the STEM community to expand students’ interests and passions within the industry by seeing what a career in the field could turn into. You will have the opportunity to share your personal journey with students (both successes and failures) to help them discover and grow their own personal strengths.
